Program description

This programme examines how traditions are transmitted across generations, how communities respond to social and cultural change, and how shared beliefsinfluence perceptions of the world.

  • Although societies differ widely in their practices and values, underlying patterns connect human experience across contexts.

  • The curriculum focuses on the study of human behaviour, social structures, and cultural dynamics. It explores the institutions and power relations that structure everyday life, drawing on a strong mixed- methods foundation.

  • Students engage with both qualitative and quantitative research traditions, gaining skills in ethnography, interviewing, survey design, statistical analysis, and the integration of varied forms of evidence. Emphasis is placed on research design, analyticalreasoning, data interpretation, and culturally informed analysis.

  • By integrating critical inquiry with methodological rigor and evidence-based approaches, the programme provides a comprehensive framework for understanding contemporary social challenges and for contributing to inclusive and effective solutions within communities, organisations, and broader societal contexts.
