Applying to inVision U as an International Student: How to Prepare for Your Studies

Step 1 — Submit Your Application

✓ Submit your documents through the admissions portal 

✓ Complete an entrance interview with the programme director and a game. Once accepted, you will receive an official confirmation of admission from the university.

Before Arriving to Kazakhstan

1 - Take an official photo. You will need 2 colour passport-style photos (3×4 cm, white background, taken recently: preferably within the last 6 months).

2 - Prepare your academic documents. You will need the originals of your secondary school diploma (certificate) and academic transcript (with grades).

Please double-check that your first name and last name are spelled correctly on all documents before travelling.

If your academic documents are issued in any language other than Kazakh or Russian, you will need to have the following translated into Kazakh or Russian:

✓ School certificate / diploma 

✓ Academic transcript 

✓ Passport

We recommend having 2 copies of each document.

Important: All documents must be translated into Russian or Kazakh and notarially certified in Kazakhstan (with an apostille). This is mandatory.

Arrange medical insurance. Medical insurance is required for all international students staying in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It is needed for receiving access to healthcare, renewing residency documents, and maintaining legal status in the country. Insurance can be purchased in your country of origin or from any insurance company in Kazakhstan.

After Arriving in Kazakhstan

Registration at the Migration Services Centre

International students who are citizens of the following countries - Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus are required to register at the Almaty Migration Services Centre within 3 calendar days of each entry into Kazakhstan.

To do this, please provide the university with your original passport on the day of arrival or the following day.

If you change your place of residence, you must notify the university within 2 days so that your registration can be updated at the Almaty Migration Services Centre.

Students have to inform university staff of any changes to their contact information or legal status, including obtaining a temporary residence permit, permanent residency, or Kazakhstani citizenship.

Sign your enrolment documents. Upon arrival, you will sign an agreement with the university and receive documents your official enrolment order.

Medical Procedures in Kazakhstan

The following documents must be obtained in Kazakhstan:

Medical certificate (Form No. 075-U) To obtain this certificate, visit the student polyclinic at: 14 Bukhar-Zhyrau Boulevard, Almaty (corner of Markova Street). A chest X-ray (fluorography) can be done at the same location.

Copy of your vaccination record.

HIV test / certificate from an AIDS Prevention Centre A certificate is issued upon blood draw. Address of the Almaty HIV Prevention and Control Centre: 2 Basenova Street, Building 4 (corner of Zharokova Street).

Important: All medical documents must be obtained in Kazakhstan.

Temporary Residence Permit (RVP) for CIS Citizens

Citizens of CIS countries are required to obtain a Temporary Residence Permit (RVP).

For students from Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, a temporary registration at their place of residence is issued instead of a visa upon arrival, valid for one academic year.

To arrange temporary registration, please provide the university with your original passport.

✓ Student contact details.

  • Notarially certified translation of diploma
