Innovative Digital Products at inVision U: Why It’s Worth Studying Here

Useful Information

When people think "IT specialist," most picture a programmer staring at a screen. But the world of digital products moved beyond code a long time ago. Today, the most sought-after people in tech companies are those who understand users just as deeply as they understand technology. People who ask the right question before writing a single line of code. People who know that a beautiful interface isn't the goal - it's the tool.

That kind of specialist is rare in Kazakhstan. And that's exactly who the Innovative Digital Products & Services program at inVision U is built to develop: taught in English, fully grant-funded, with real projects from day one.

What Is "Innovative Digital Products & Services" and Why It's Not Just Another IT Degree

This program brings together three things that traditional education almost never combines: technical skills, design thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

The program is built around a single idea: a truly capable digital product specialist today isn't just someone who can code or design an interface. It's someone who understands users, can frame a problem clearly, come up with a solution, test it quickly and see it through to a real product. That's what four years here are about.

Students work across UX/UI design, frontend and mobile development, product management, user research, data and analytics, artificial intelligence, and startup culture. Alongside these: prototyping, visual communication, product growth, and metrics. Not in isolation each course builds on the last.

The program is led by Aliya Asanbekova an EdTech leader and startup entrepreneur, founder of the IT & Product Design department at Compass College, where her students won Startup Nation 2024. A Startup Kyrgyzstan laureate, Dive into Silicon Valley finalist, and Silkway Accelerator participant. She doesn't just run the program -she has built products, launched startups, and knows what that path looks like from the inside.

Who Is This Program For?

If you're curious about how the products people use every day actually get made.

UX/UI design, user research, product management all part of the curriculum. Not as theory about what "good design should look like," but as practice: you research real users, identify their problems, and design solutions.

If you want to develop — but understand the product, not just write the code.

Frontend, mobile, and web development students learn to build working products. But the focus isn't the programming language; it's understanding why any of it matters to the user.

If you're thinking about a startup now or someday.

Startup studio, venture financing, business modeling, product growth and metrics - the program is intentionally designed for people who don't just want to work at a tech company, but build one. In the final year: a cross-program project with a real shot at funding.

If AI interests you not as a trend, but as a tool.

Artificial intelligence for digital products is a dedicated course. Students learn to apply AI thoughtfully: not "add ChatGPT to the product," but understand where technology genuinely solves a user's problem.

If you want to work at the intersection of technology, design, and business.

Behavioral science, psychology of technology, tech ethics, design for social change — the program builds an understanding of how technology affects people and society. For those who want to build products responsibly.

Innovative Digital Products & Services For Those Who Create, Not Just Consume

This program was built for people who aren't satisfied using other people's products — they need to build their own. Five years of fully-funded study, from the Foundation year through a state-accredited degree, structured as one continuous journey: from a first user research project to a working product built alongside people from different disciplines.

This isn't a program that trains executors who know which buttons to press in which software. It trains people who can connect an understanding of users, technical ability, and entrepreneurial thinking — and turn that into products people actually use, products that change something real.
